Bro. Floyd Anderson, 77, of Decatur departed this life on Friday, June 9, 2017 at McKinley Court
Nursing Home. Floyd was born on January 12, 1940 in Brownsville, TN the son of Langster and Rosa L.
(Moore) Anderson.He accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Trinity Christian
Methodist Episcopal Church where he served on the Steward and Usher Board. He retired from Wagners
Casting Company after 39 years of service. Following his retirement, he became a member of the
Tennessee Retirement Breakfast Club. He was an all-around sportsman. He was an avid golfer, bowler
and enjoyed baseball. Floyd married the former Lillie Ora Tyus in 1960. They remained united until
death did them part. On January 29, 2005, he united in Holy Matrimony to Rosetta Willis. Floyd
leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Rosetta Anderson of Decatur; children: Ann Robinson
of Dallas, TX, Rachelle (Gregory) Anderson-Cumbo of Hampton, VA, Natalie (Erthwin) Arneaud of
Hampton, VA, Antonis (Ruth) Anderson, Floyd D. (Angelia) Anderson, Adrian D. (Lisa) Anderson all of
Decatur, IL; stepchildren: Willie J. Willis of Decatur, IL, Troy A. Willis Los Angeles, CA and
Raquel Willis of Chicago, IL; brothers: Ellis H. (Sarah) Anderson, James (Linda) Anderson, Melvin
(Lucille) Anderson all of Decatur and Clifford (Evette) Anderson of Brownsville, TN; sisters: Vilena
Lee, Eunice Anderson, Luevenia Anderson, Lillie P. Davis all of Decatur and Allie Bean of St. Louis.
MO; grandchildren: Courtney (Serita) Anderson, TaLisha Arneaud, Trevor Arneaud, Tirell (Marscia)
Anderson, Christopher James, Aaron (Genesha) Anderson, Trae Anderson, Malia Anderson, Amare
Anderson, Asanti Anderson, Aaron Willis, Alisha Willis, Devin Willis, Cody Willis; 11 great
grandchildren; special nephew, Carthell Tyus; 10 sister-in-laws, 3 brother-in-laws and a host of
nieces, nephew, cousins, relatives and many friends. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents,
grandparents, first wife, 2 brothers, 1 sister. The family would like to give special thanks to the
staff at McKinley Court, DMH and Cancer Care Center. Services Honoring his life will be held:
Visitation: 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Walker Funeral Service. Homegoing Service:
11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Trinity C.M.E. Church (444 South Webster Street) with
visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery. Professional Services entrusted to
Walker Funeral Service.
