      William C. Bachman who died January 7th at the family home, 951 W. Main street, aged 71, was a well known tailor. The funeral took place this afternoon from the German Methhodist church. The deceased was born in Ringshausen, Kreis Rothenburg, Kurbeasen, Germany on February 14, 1821. He came to this country in 1851 and located in Baltimore, Md, where he resided until 1862. He then came to Decatur and has since made this city his home. He leaves a widow and four children, one son and three daughters. They are Alex P. Bachman, Mrs. James Crane and Mrs. James A. Sawyer of Decatur and Mrs. Louise Wolfe of Quincy.
