Keith C. Brewer 29 years of age departed his life from Earth on Monday,
September 3, 2018, in Decatur, Illinois. Keith was born on August 31, 1989, in Clarksdale,
Mississippi. He was born to Evesia A. Brewer and Kenneth D. Houston Sr. Keith attended Decatur
Public Schools and later received his certifications from Richland Community College in culinary
arts and custodial services. Keith worked for Decatur Detail and Smith Tire Co. He enjoyed running
track, playing football, and basketball. Keith always carried a lovely smile and had a beautiful
spirit. He adored spending quality time with his family and friends. Keith still has and will remain
known as the “family man.”
Keith leaves to cherish his memories to Four children: Xavier Z. Howell, Dallas C. Brewer, Keith C.
Brewer Jr., and J’Kaydon Cotton all of Decatur, Illinois. His mother, Evesia A. Brewer of
Springfield, Illinois; Father, Kenneth D. Houston Sr. of Clarksdale Mississippi; Grandmother, Martha

“Pumpkin” Mathews of Decatur Illinois. Four sisters, Alexandria “Plum” Gregory of Greenville,
Illinois, Zacari “Hot Dog” Moore of Springfield, Illinois, Carnithia “Punkin” Thomas of Clarksdale,
Mississippi and Twaneshia “Kenshay” Wilson of Robinsonville, Mississippi. Aunts: Thdoria (Ronald)
