"At Rest - The funeral of the late Mrs. John Cassell, who died Thanksgiving evening of paralysis and apoplexy, took place on Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, from the residence of her son, Mr. Frank Cassell, at No. 87, East William street. The house was filled with friends and neighbors, who assembled on the sad occasion to join the bereaved husband, children and relatives in paying their last respects to the departed, who was a dutiful wife, a kind and loving mother and a true friend. The memorial services were conducted by Rev. M. S. Newcomer, pastor of the Church of God. Singing and prayer preceded the remarks of the clergyman, who read a short sketch of the life of the departed, offered words of consolation and hope to the mourning relatives, and improved the opportunity to direct the attention of his hearers to the importance of leading a Christian life that all may be prepared for the final and inevitable summons. At the conclusion of the services the casket containing the remains of the beloved wife and mother was borne to the waiting hearse, and followed to the grave in Greenwood cemetery, where the interment took place with appropriate church ceremonies."
