Derimus Lamar Golden, 44 of Decatur departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Derimus was born on September 24, 1973 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Fannie Golden and Thomas Stitts. He was also shown fatherly love by Herman Page at an early age who loved and cared for him as his very own. He was educated in Decatur Public Schools and attended Eisenhower High School. Derimus was well known in the Decatur Community. He was affectionately called "DBO" and "Main" by his family and friends. Derimus developed a medical condition during his youth. Although, he had some good and bad days he made sure he made the best out of every day. He loved sports, especially football and basketball. He was very supportive of his son in his sport activities and was a very proud father. He also loved to cook and bbq. In pursuit of what he loved doing, he earned a certificate in Culinary Arts. He would often cook and host family gatherings. Derimus stayed in good spirits till the end and he never gave up. He truly fought a good fight!! He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents: Fannie Golden of Jackson, TN, Herman Page of Decatur, IL and Thomas (Lizzie) Stitts of Bells, TN; son, Derimus L. Golden, Jr.; longtime companion, Tia Stanley and her children: Ladell Honorable and Tyleeah Stanley of Decatur; 3 sisters: Danielle (Tommy Smith) Page of Nashville, TN, Morgan Rucker and Haley Rucker of Decatur; brothers: Herman Macky Page of Decatur, Cortez (Markuida) Drake of Brownsville, TN, Jeremy (Vanessa) Stitts of Bells, TN, Thomas (Timeka) Stitts, Jr. of Bells, TN; grandmother, Zetta Page of St. Louis, MO; special aunts and uncles: Mildred Annie(Charles) Bond, Mollie (Ricky) Miller, Freddie (Star) Page and Bill Page, Laronda Page, Cassandra Page, Victoria McDonald, Marion Page, Pat Page, Doris Green; godparents, Chris and Crystal Bragg; special cousins, Michael Bond, Charles Bond Jr.,Latosha Grayned, Montel Miller, Kevin Miller; special friends: DeAndre Harper, Stanley Mason, Tyrell Smith, Charles Drake, John Taylor and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and many friends near and far.
