      TRAGIC WEEKEND
Effie Meyer had only been married two weeks and her husband had left her.
February 25th she was playing cards. Another player was Mrs. Emma Harris.
Effie had more than once stated that she was going to kill herself.
Then on February 26th she drank carbolic acid and later died. On that same day her friend,
Mrs. Emma Harris, was shot three times in the back by William Henry Norman Jr.
Emma died the next day. After shooting Emma, William then comitted suicide.
William's wife, Bertha, after being accused took the same gun and comitted suicide.
Emma, Bertha and William are buried next to each other with Effie close in the next row.
