Isaac McKendree Lowe died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec 22, at the family residence, 1235 North Calhoun street. He was a veteran of the late war, having been a member of company C, Twenty-third Ohio infantry. He had resided in Decatur for twenty years and was a member of Dunham post 141, G.A.R. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him and the news of his death will be received with sincere regret. His death was caused by inflammation of the stomach with which he had been suffering for some time. He is survived by six children, Jessie, Hays, McLenda, Nettie, Harry and Astor. He leaves a brother and two sisters, John Lowe of Ohio, Mrs. W.H. Payne of Decatur and Mrs. Paul of Ohio. His wife died two years ago. The preparations have not been made.

The funeral of the late Isaac Lowe was held Friday at 2 o'clock p.m. from the residence, No. 1035 North Calhoun street. The services were conducted by Rev. M.B. Spayd and the burial was at Greenwood cemetery. Dunham G.A.R. post had charge of the burial.
