AUNGST../..BULLARD RECEIVING VAULT
The Aungst Receiving Vault was in use in the early 1870's. It is unknown
as to when it was actually built. Ezra S. Aungst was taught by his father
Daniel, who helped in the business until his death in 1877. Ezra passed
away eleven months later in 1878. Ezra's wife Mary, and her brother Willie O.
McNabb, ran the business until January 1881 when they sold out to C. C.
Radcliffe & J. B. Bullard. In January 1885 J. B. Bullard took over all
ownership. The vault was not used much after the turn of the century. By 1931
the cemetery had all rights to the vault and in May the vault was permanently
filled in with several unidentified infants.
