Lillie Mae Neal, 88, of Decatur passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Lillie was born on March 31, 1930 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the daughter of Jessie Walker and Dorothy (Whitmore) Walker. Lillie grew up in Brownsville, Tennessee. In her late 20’s she relocated to Decatur, Illinois. She was married to the late Mr. Robert Neal on October 12, 1946. She was a true soldier in the Army of the Lord and a mighty prayer warrior. She loved the Lord with all her heart and wouldn’t let nothing separate her from the love of God. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Living God P.G.T. Temple #3 and a past member of the New Cannon Baptist Church. Lillie worked at Norman Cleaners for over 25 years and previously at the Orlando Hotel. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to thrift stores and rummage sales. She loved spending time with her family whom she would go the last mile of the way for. She is survived by her children, Robert Neal, Jr. (special friend, Lisa Sims), Wallace Neal (Denise), Garrett Neal, and Wanda Dotson (the late Elder Antoine Dotson) all of Decatur; 19 grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; children, Dorothy Mae Donaldson, Curtis Lee Neal and Stevie Michael Neal and brothers, Sercy Walker and Jessie Walker.
