      PASSED AWAY IN KANSAS

      MRS. CATHERIN SHELLABARGER, RELICT OF THE LATE DAVID SHELLABARGER, WHO DIED IN DECATUR SEVERAL YEARS AGO, PASSED AWAY IN DEATH AT THE HOME OF HER DAUGHTER IN SALINA, KANSAS, LAST NIGHT, THE NEWS REACHING DECATUR TODAY BY TELEGRAPH. SINCE THE DEATH OF HER HUSBAND, THE DECEASED HAD BEEN MAKING HER HOME WITH MRS. HENKLE. A WEEK AGO SHE WAS STRICKEN WITH PARALYSIS FROM WHICH SHE DID NOT RECOVER. MRS. SHELLABARGER WAS ONE OF THE PIONEER LADIES OF DECATUR, WHOSE CHILDREN HAVE GROWN TO MANHOOD AND WOMAN HOOD, HONORED CITIZENS AND USEFUL MEMBERS OF THE OCMMUNITIES IN WHICH THEY RESIDE. SHE WAS A DEVOTED CHRISTIAN WOMAN WHOSE DECLINING YEARS HAVE BEEN PASSSED IN HE COMFORT AND EASE SHE SO RICHLY DESERVED. HER CHILDREN ARE: D. S. SHELLABARGER, OF DECATUR, JOSEPH L. SHELLABARGER OF TOPEKA, KANSAS, MRS. ALBERT HENKLE AND JOHN B. SHELLABARGER OF SALINE KANSAS, MRS. G. F. HARGIS, SAN DIEGO CA., MRS. JOHN BLACK, OF SPRINGFIELD, ILL AND MRS. SAMUEL(REBECCA) DILLER OF DECATUR. THE REMAINS ARE TO BE BROUGHT TO DECATUR FOR INERMENT IN GREENWOOD CEMETERY. THE BURIAL WILL PROBABLY BE SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.
