The funeral of Mrs. Martha Steele of Durand, Mich, was held Tuesday from the residence of R. J.Roberts on N.Water street. The services were conducted by Rev. W. J.Davidson, pastor of the First Methodist church. The music was furnished by a quartet composed of Miss Zillah H. Finnell,Miss Mildred Randolph,George R.Flint and R.J. Flint. The pallbearers were W.R.Shull, John Armstrong,Will Holman, H. Mahannah, R. T. Williams and Creighton Webb. The interment was at Greenwood. Mrs. Steele had been a member of the Methodist faith for many years and and belonged to the church at Durand, Mich.She was married to Joseph Steel when she was 19 years old. Mr. Steele died twenty two years ago.
