Willie B. Sutton, 65, affectionately known as Beatrice of Decatur departed this life on September 7, 2017 at 8:11 PM in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, in Mattoon, IL. Homegoing service to celebrate Beatrice's life will be 12 Noon Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Solid Rock Full Gospel Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the church. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Beatrice was born to Tommie Lue "Shorty" Beasley and Geraldine Adams - Beasley, on June 12, 1952 in Brownsville, Tennessee. In 1968, Beatrice relocated to Decatur, IL, where she attended the Adult Education Center. In 1982, She became employed at the Donut Shop, where she met her husband, Robert, who she joined in Holy Matrimony on April 14, 1995. Beatrice was also employed at Cubs Foods, eventually becoming County Market, for fifteen years until she fell ill. Under the leadership of her uncle, Pastor Jerry Adams, Beatrice joined Solid Rock Full Gospel Church on October of 2004. In 2009, Beatrice became a licensed Deacon, under the leadership of Pastor Robert Bell. In 2008, after years of hosting in her church home, Beatrice pursued her dream and opened her business, the Rummage Room, wish was located on West Wood Street, eventually she would also open, Willie's Thrift Shop, also located on West Wood Street. Beatrice was so full of life! She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing softball, throwing darts, and spending time with her family, in her time of leisure. Beatrice will be missed dearly and her memory will be left cherished by her father, Tommie Beasley of Millington, TN; daughters, Teresa Kinnies and Lorain Shelley, both of Jackson, TN; Bob's children, Tina Calhoun of Mt. Zion, IL; Yvette (Bob) Borchers of Bloomington, IL; Matt (Kris) Sutton of East Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Lakia Shelley, Tenia Brown, Darwin Dodd, Tiffany Shelley, Ashley Conaway, Cheyenne Shelley, and Makayla Foley; Cordell Shelley, Jasneian Shelley, Demetris Jeter, and Jody Kinnies, Jr.; thirty great-grandchildren; brothers, Curtis(Dallas) and Jimmie Beasley, sisters, Martha Russell and Clara Beasley all whom reside in Decatur, IL; and Sharron Williams of Memphis, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beatrice was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Adams-Beasley; husband, Robert Sutton; two children, five brothers, four sisters, two nieces, four grandparents, and a host of aunts and uncles. The family of Willie Beatrice Sutton would like to thank Fair Havens Christian Home for their dedicated years of service and care.
