DIRECT DESCENDANT OF GOV. WILLIAM BRADFORD,
THE LONG-TIME LEADER OF THE PLYMOUTH COLONY

The funeral of little Carl, son of Mr. & Mrs. Isaac Terhune, was held from the family residence, 970 East William street this forenoon. Carl was an exceptionally bright child. His disposition was sweet and gentle which made him the sunshine of the home. Although he had never been sick yet he was not especially rugged and when he was taken with diphtheria he was quickly taken to the grave. From the first he felt he would die, and made preparations for it by laying away his clothes and play things. Though only six years of age, he tried to comfort his broken hearted parents, telling them not to cry and that a bright day was before him. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all their friends in this hour of terrible sorrow.
