      John Niles Tuttle still lived in Connecticut at the beginning of the Civil War.
      His brother George Tuttle was killed in action April 6, 1862 at Shiloh, Hardin
      County, Tennessee. On August 25, 1862 John enlisted and fought in the Civil War.
      After the war John moved to Decatur, Macon County, Illinois.





      This is not an original stone. Death date on stone is incorrect. Should be 1865.
      1862 is the year of the death of his brother George.
