DECATUR -- Lawrence E. Woodland departed this life on Sunday, February 8, 2015.
He was born September 13, 1957 in Stanton, TN. He loved spending time with his
family and friends; and was compassionate about his music. He was a skilled
Mechanic and Upholsterer. Those left to cherish his memories are his mother
Sarah N. Woodland, children Tamera (Mike) Morales and Yolanda Simpson of
Milwaukee, WI, Takila (Montel) Conners and Kiewanna (Courtney) Roby, stepson
Trevor Evans of Decatur, and life-long companion, Sharon Evans of Decatur,
brothers Walter E. (Gwendolyn) Woodland, Eric Woodland of Decatur, Gaston
Woodland of Champaign, IL, sisters Nancy D. Walker of Brownsville, TN, Patsy
Woodland, Charlene Woodland, Doris Woodland-Rowan, Carla Woodland, Cynthia
Woodland, Fatima Woodland of Decatur, IL, and seven grandchildren, and a host
of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son Lawrence
L. Evans, father, Charlie B. Woodland, brother, Buford Woodland, and sister
Mattie Pearl Thomas, and nephew Arcarius C. Anderson. The Family would like
to thank the staff of Decatur Memorial Hospital for their care and attention.
