T. C. Wilder Sr., 88, of Decatur was called to be with the Lord on
Friday, July 1, 2016. T.C. "Top Cat", as he was affectionately called
was born on June 6, 1928 in Brownsville, Tennessee, the son of the
late James and Ada (Taylor) Wilder. On September 22, 1946, he
married Katherine Woodland and to this union nine children were born.
T. C. was a hard working family man. He loved to spend time with his
family. He was always a helping hand to family as well as others in
need. He loved to work in his garden and renovating houses. He worked
at Wagner's Casting for many years. He retired from working construction
for Local #159. He was a member of the House of Faith Church of God in
Christ. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 69 years,
Katherine Wilder, his children: Willie Louis Wilder, Maurine Williams,
James Wilder, Henry Wilder, Dorothy Young, TC Wilder, Jr., Albert
(Glenda) Wilder, Mary (General) Pender and Randy Wilder; brothers: Tommy
(Marie) Wilder, Gene (Edna) Wilder, Louis T. Wilder; sisters: Josie
Patterson, Dorothy Taylor, Ada Jackson, Willie Lou (LC) Young, Areatha
Powell, Pearl Chandler, 30 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren,
great great grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and
friends. He was preceded in death by his parents- James and Ada Wilder,
daughter-Lillie Mae Wilder-Pugh, grandson, Martez Wilder, brothers-Sydney
Wilder Sr., Willie James, sisters-Geraldine Wilder-Brooks, Maxine Mabon
and Ethelynn Wilder-Link.
